Howdy all, I love firefish and am so happy that I seem to have either a male/female pair or at least a pair that don't fight...I have recently discovered something on my glass, however...are they eggs?
From a distance you would think they were small tube worms on the glass (or acrylic in this case). Upon closer inspection, they are almost round, and all of them have a bottom half that is denser than the top half...could they be eggs?
I have never observed any mating behaviour by my firefish other than them "not fighting"
thanks for any input.

I would guess if they are eggs they are most likely snail eggs.
I would have to agree with you on that. I am not sure about firefish, but they could be mouth brooders. Or even egg-layers who deposit their eggs, like clownfish. I don't think firefish have been tank raised yet. Then again I could be wrong.
