I have not had fish to propagate in a long time and even then it was Bangaii cardinals but I think my Golden Maroon Clown laid eggs. I have been hoping it would happen but wondered if it ever would. Please confirm in the picture. I guess I will have to start having to read up on how to do this. I have read a little and I know it is no easy task but I think I mioght have to give it a try.

those are eggs...congrats.

the reason the last picture is screwed up is naming issues on the site. when items get uploaded and share the same name, issues arise. to alleviate, upload your pics to photobucket or a similar photo sharing website and post the
tag.

Anyone have any supplies or setup they are not using or know where I can find the best setup to do this? Any and all assistance is accepted.

Just wanted to show some follow up. The eggs are 6 days old now. I do not think I am going to try to raise this time I just do not have the time right now to make it happen. For the future could someone use that rotofiest product to feed? Essentially it is a bottle of live rotifers it looks like but I am not sure. Just looking at options.

I recommend you enjoy watching them this time and get ready to rear the fry next time. Congrats!!!

I recommend using a piece of underwater epoxy as a spot for the adults to lay the eggs. After this first set hatches, just make a big flat piece of epoxy and put in in the same place as where the eggs used to be. That way when they lay the next brood, you can easily peel off the epoxy w/ the eggs on it the day they are supposed to hatch. That way you can let them hatch in a separate tank and not have to worry about "snagging" the fry.

Cheers

I have 20 long sitting in the closet if you decide to try to rear them. From what I've read you are better of just raising your own roti's. Much cheaper. :)
