Ok, I was re-plumbing my 20 gallon seahorse tank.
While tightening the bulkhead in, I crack the glass, the crack goes up from the hole.

How strong is the glass when there is a crack in it?
I know with acrylic, you can just seal a crack with silicone. What do I do now??
Is the tank safe to use at all? Or should I immediately panic that it will collapse any second??

I wouldn't panic, but I would replace the tank as soon as possible. Good luck.

20 gallons of water does not put a lot of pressure on the glass. You should be able to silicone it(do the inside of the glass) with no prob. Of course, then you have an ugly line of silicone on your tank.

What were you tighting that bulkhead with?

You could always get another piece of glass and silicone it ontop of the crack.. but maybe a good idea to get that new tank..

SSSSHHHH, don't ask what I was tightening it with.

LoL
I had put it on once and it leaked, so when I put it back on, I wanted to make sure it was tight and used a wrench and my hand.
Yes I know it was stupid, after I did it, I said to myself, what the heck was I thinking.
