Good or bad for a reef?
I've always been fascinated with them, however I dont know many people who keep these guys and how well they do in reefs.
If anyone has experience with these please post them here.
:D
And Tom, I know what you are going to say. :p

I had one for a while. He did well for a while but I finally got rid of him because he wouldn't leave my feather dusters alone. Stressed them out to the point that they both dropped their ring of feathers. I also had a problem with him picking at my star polyps.

Very cool crab though, I wish I could have kept him.

arrow crabs

I have kept a few arrows from the gulf and have had no poblems other than the arrows get coverd in coraline and die after about 1 year. I can get you one once the water gets a little warmer and we start diving again. How is the acro we fraged doing. Mine is doing real good at the very top of the tank in good flow.

THanks that would be great.
My acro is doing great too. I have it at a point where there is alot of flow. Its getting darker and looks like it might start gainning some color. The polyps come out. I think that was a great idea what we did. We should do that again. :D

acro

Let me know when you a ready to do it again. I like making purchases that way. I would like to get a fourth person, and numnutz said he wanted in, let me know if you think that would be to many? I need to get your phone number. I saw that you might be scuba certified soon, let me know when and I will take you out to collect your own arrow crab.

Sure we can get a team going for buying some nice SPS. We could save a buck or two this way and get more variety too. :D

Should we tell you about our arrow that ate our neon, jawfish and cleaner shrimp? I definitely vote against them :-x

My arrow crab was an aggressive, fearless creatures. Mine got enormous and would walk around the house at night terrorizing us.

Oh, and he ate a great deal of my beautiful green pocillopora colony. :-x

RIP Pennywise the Arrow Crab.
