Awesome tanks! Thanks for sharing. I'm interested to hear details on your set-up, testing, etc..
I'm going to be the first to say that the approach is not novel. I'm not reinventing the wheel here and I'm surprised more aren't doing it, but there's a million ways to have a beautiful reef tank so I understand completely.

Nutrient removal via GFO and carbon dosing and a LARGE skimmer. Foundation element replacement via the calcium reactor, plus additional trace elements. I think the CaRX is a key component though to this no water change method. Just based off my annual Triton results, I'm getting plenty of potassium, strontium, and iodine added without additionally supplementing them or testing for them often.

Do you find the blue Linckia's challenging? They seem to do well for me at first and then die. I met a guy on RC that said after all these years he found out what they eat. ASTERINA STARFISH!?!
Yes, the blue has survived for a year now and still looks healthy. My orange one withered away. I've noticed him snack on dead snails before. I've seen the post about eating asterinas but I haven't witnessed it myself.

Either case, still not sure what it eats but my tank seems to be supplying it.

You have one of those for sale???? :) That is beautiful!!
My rainbow anemones were nothing in comparison so I got rid of them.

I don't have any currently available. The one I do have is already sold.

They do fetch quite the price so not for everyone I'd say. You'd have to be an anemone person to want to pay fair market on them.

I'll go ahead and follow on here as well. Why? I guess you could say I was that kid that kept touching the hot stove over and over lol.

What amino acids are you dosing and how often?

I rotate a new amino acid product each time I run out. Si far I've been using Red Sea Energy and Fauna Marin Amin. I've just received some acroppwer so when my Fauna Marin runs out, I'll switch to acropower. Despite the instructions on any of them, I dose them 2x/week at whatever their daily recommended amount is. I'll add Brightwell's aminos in the mix after the acropower based on your recommendation.

I did a bit of research on the amino acids and what they do. I wish the products labeled which types of amino acids were in their solution and at what concentrations.

Haha why? Would people be able to make them at home then?
