Hello MARSH community,
I have been gone too long... not enough time, tank was (relatively) stable, until we had some issues (likely related to temperature changes), and eventually for other reasons, had to break down the tank. Been so long it seems I didn't even renew my membership! Better get on it soon
End of year resolutions: tank is back up and cycling. Only concern at this point is a bad smell but the skimmer is working hard the past two days. I have not yet added stability, soon to come. Is the smell normal given I have dried my rocks for a couple of weeks prior to putting them back and cleaned the whole tank, sump and skimmer?
So I will be watching it cycle and test in a couple of weeks.
And...I got a new heater so hopefully things will get better this time. I will definitely NOT rush it (as I did 5 years ago when I started the hobby!)
Glad to be back!
Cheers
