HI all,
after selling my reef and moving abroad for 2.5 yrs, am about to move back to Houston in August(yeah!)
Based on my quick reviews on equipment, some things have evolved FAST( AiSol LED systems appear awesome!) or not( MP40/MP60 still rule).

How about controllers?
I had a reefkeeper back in the days and it was pretty good for my simpler 55gal system.

I'm now planning on a 180g display with AiSol LED/Mp40/kalk Rx setup to grow LPS and "easy" SPS.

Is there a current consensus on which controller provides the best value?
I see the the DA Elite looks good but nothing changed from 2.5 years ago.Lots ot talk on Neptune/Apex as well.

Any guidance would be appreciated!

I'm upgrading from an RKL to an APEX. My RKL crashed and was really annoying to toggle between temp and PH. The Apex has both on the screen at the same time. That alone is my primary reason but from what else I understand about it you can actually manually program it to do all kinds of stuff. Couple guys here are pretty handy with that side of it.

I know a few guys that have the AISOL's and love em. Few of us are all Ecotech (radion/MP40/60).

You forgot Dr. Tim's One and Only :)

Thanks!
TiAg-I had a RK regular(I guess since there was only one at the time) and it had both pH and temp on the screen,am suprised they took that away but I understand that would be annoying...
I need to look into the APEX a bit more then, looked a bit more complex to setup/program.
Are you guys running the MP40 on their own or through the controller?

I use my MP40/60 with my Radion so they work together. It adjusts the flow for different times of day and also when the light goes into storm mode (which we all think is just for aesthetics) but it does change the current up. Pretty cool actually. So no they don't run through the Apex other then to turn off for feeding (don't actually have my apex yet, picking it up Saturday).
