Today sucked one of my lines in my sump sprang a leak during the night woke up to soaked floor ! Spent most of my day fixing my sump ,drying out the stand ,mixing water . This blows so much and now my skimmer is all out if whack ! And I lost my cleaner shrimp on top of that , just feel like throwing in the towel right now .

Don't throw in the towel... It happens to all of us.... The skimmer is probably going nuts because of all of the fresh mixed saltwater you added in.

Been there, done that, and dealt with the wife's attitude! There's nothing like your return pump spraying water all over your floor at 3am to judge how accommodating you better half is! Don't give up! We all have disasters and we all find a fix and move past it!

Man, that sucks. Hope there isn't much damage to the house. You can't throw in the towel. I am waiting to see the finished stand.

Yea that sucks! Came home from work to a huge puddle in front of my aquarium and the breaker blown the other day. My skimmer feed had come loose and emptied my sump. Spraying water all in my stand and out onto my floor( luckily its all tile) tripping my breaker. Will make sure to FIRMLY! secure hose from now on.

Mine too, I'm guessing no live rock so it cannot damage any pumps or lines, but I look at it a different way... More live rock in the sump means less water on the floor should a disaster happen!
