I was told to look for version 2 of the bayer insect killer which would be available on places such as Amazon. Problem is, in the photos and descriptions, who besides reef keepers care which version it is? I've been told by people in the know that the latest version isn't as good as v2? I need to stock up ASAP as I'm about to start adding life to this tank and want it as pest free as possible.

What info can you guys provide on the correct version?

Thanks

I was told Lowes pulled it but now its back. It shows to be in stock on their website. Checked Home Depot and its gone from their website.

What's on the shelves is a newer version which is not as effective I've been told by a reputable lfs owner.

Second edition is as effective as the first.
I've used both Bayern but I also used spectrcide insect killer.
Same effect on both.
Corals don't have a nerve system as that of insects and for that aren't sensitive as corals with a nerve as clams, nems just to name a few.
If you still have any doubts just buy a few bottles of Coral Rx at that LFS, in that case you are happy and the LFS is happy.

Not sure about that third but I have still the original as I tested the edition after the third which is the same on the shelves now.
