When I was over picking up my frag Quoc mentioned I should post a few shots of my tank. Here it is at 18 months old. Enjoy.

I'll start with the frag. The back ground frag is also from Quoc.

Great job growing those frags, Mark. Good to see that 1.5" microcladus frag you got from me (in last Nov?) has grown out to a small colony size there! Look like you are going in the right direction :thumb:

Can you share some of the maintenance secrets with us?

salts used, buffers, additives, lighting, etc?

Sure, but I am a lazy reefer. The tank is a 150gal 54x26x26.

Lights are 2x 250watt 10k XM DE MH in reefoptic III pedants on coralvue e-ballast and 2x110 URI actinics on ice cap ballast. The actinc run 12 hours a day an the MH 8 hours on a staggered on-off time.

I have a home made kalk stirrer that I use for my top off. Which is a big poly tank in the closet behind my tank.

I do 20gal a week water changes with oceanic salt.

Circualtion is a panworld 150PS thru penductors and a tunze 6200 set on 75-100% pulse.

I have a euroreef RS250 skimmer that I clean the collection cup when I do a water change. I clean the body when I remember. It is set to run kind of between wet and dry.

I don't feed lots one or two cube of frozen a day or every other day. I have 8 fish righ now.

Nothing special I keep it simple so when I have to travel my wife can take care of it.

For now that is all I use. Not sure for how much longer that will work. I am really good about doing my weekly water changes so I am sure that helps also.

Not sure if I am going to need one so I have not looked. I'm just going to see how it goes. I would probably increase the water change size first to see if that would do it.
