This silicone is legit! Will never use anything else. It is super durable, adheres very well, is bright white and has a very smooth shiny finish like glass. Doesn’t yellow at all. Dries very fast! It’s like $10.81 a tube, but worth every penny!

Dumb question but is it reef safe? I’m about to try that Fuji reef 40gallon breeder diy sump
IMO it’s all reef safe as long as it’s fully cured.

But if you want something cheaper and what’s normally used for sumps that’s clear, GE 1 window and door is what most people in the hobby feel safe with and what’s readily available at Lowe’s and HD. Although there was a massive scare when they rebranded their product and now it says 7 year mold free! :) People were absolutely certain that the dangerous mold devil would nuke their systems. However, that’s just not the case. GE never changed anything with the product only their advertising on the tube. The formulation remains the same.

another silly question. But what are you using white silicone for? if its in your post sorry I missed it
I was actually siliconing some corners on my stand where the sump sits and also the tank so that water won’t get into the cracks. I used white because the stand is white.

But yeah…GE Supreme is Legit! Just say no to DAP. Complete garbage that yellows and doesn’t dry fast or hard.
