i feel for you deep sea... my friend has an 08 chevy truck who had his locks pushed in twice in a few weeks right near there (i dont know what kinda car/truck you have) one time they stole a digital camera in a bag, and another time nothing.
I still think more can be done... digital video cameras are so cheap now days and have high enough megapixles/resolution you should be able to see details like faces, getaway cars, ect...

Wow caught this thread late. Anyways just so you know. their are no camaras in our parking lot. One of the taco cabanas camara might have range their but like i said its late now. Just thought i would give ya some insight.

Anyone who leaves anything in sight in their car, is the only person to be blamed for a theft. By irony it is the only way to stop a theft, if there is nothing to steal. No cameras or security can stop a theft, if there is a distraction else where, thats where the attention goes, and on goes the theft to the people who leave things in sight in their car. It just does not make any sense to me to leave valuables in a car, I hope everyone who reads this, would stop doing it, and learn from this experience.

ya i would never leave my firearm in plain sight. I even stopped carrying mines with me now, get into to much trouble with it =-/ All my goodies stays in the house
