I know this has been discussed before but I can't find the original thread. Anyone knows of a natural predator that would consume blue anthelia. If not, any chemical to remedy it? Thx

The only thing I've ever found to get rid of it is peeling and scrubbing. Also low nutrient levels will starve it off. If your nitrates are high it will grow like crazy.

I can relate to that. I had blue anthelia covering 30% of my tank. After 3 weeks of algae scrubbing my nitrates went to zero and only about 5% is left. Before I started using the algae scrubber my nitrates were high and I was also getting hair algae that is also gone.

its def a weed, i took all the rock out that had anthelia on it and left it in the sun for a day to kill everything on the rock. rock wasnt live anymore so i introduced a piece at a time back into the tank to keep from spiking the tank. i missed a couple rocks that had small spots of the pest coral so instead of pulling rock out again i made a kalk paste from ms wagers pickling lime and hit them really good with it...killed it off and problem solved
