Has anybody here ever kept one of these for a long time? i saw one of those guys at aquarium world and i thought it looked freakin awesome. i asked the lady what she fed the ray, and she said pellets, which i rolled my eyes to cause thats their answer to everything. i was just wondering if these guys are easy to keep cause im tempted on getting one in the future once i have the new tank setup.

i highly doubt BSS can be kept in a small confine. These normally do well in large public tank but not your typicall in home aquarium. CP had one and it was sweetttttt. Dont know what happen to it though

From what I've read rays tend to need a species only tank. They prefer long tanks with very little rock in them.

out of all the rays the blue spotted is considered the hardest. they need cleaner water than say a yellow ray (the other one sold in stores). a stingray tank needs to be very wide and long.

That is when you ask them to feed the fish in question. That way you will know for sure if it eats or not. If they make an excuse to not do it, then politly thank them and move on with the knowledge they lied to you. :p
