I got all these Blue zoa colony from Village Tropical last week for $19 each! I was looking into the tank they had slight bluish color but I was skeptical. Jaime let me take it out of the tank and put it right underneath the 20k halides and they were glowing. After I put it right under my lights here's how they look. I couldn't believe it was only $19 :D . Who said houston lfs doesn't have killer zoooooos!

Wed. last week. If you just walk by the zoa tank they all look brown, but if something catches your eye ask Daryl or Jaime to hold it higher towards the light. It makes a huge difference.

Blue zoa's glow crazy blue right underneath strong halides. Mine are placed right underneath 250 de 14k hamiltons. They got more blue in my tank over the week.

not blue at all. XM 20k's are way too blue IMO. The Hamilton 14k's are crisp white. I tried all the bulbs. German and Japanese bulbs are excellent, but price is high (2 x more than xm and hamiltons)

Andy,

There are 2 LFS there in fuqua, one is behind the Chile's, Tropical Fish, the other is up Alameda Genoa passed the mall, next ligt turn left, I believe that one is Tropical Fish Depot. The only one that knows anything in their is JJ. Pretty nice guy, but he'll also try to sell you evrything in the store.

Now that I think about it Not sure if it's Chile's of TGI Fridays... Anyways it's on the N bound side of 45 and it might be Neptunes, The ownership changed recently, I've been in there a few times and was totally ignored both times, not to interested in me being there. There stuff seemed on the high side to me.

Neptunes staff seems pretty nice to me. The new owner who is about 24 let me bring in my prizm skimmer to test it out on his tank to see if it worked or not. You have to know the prices are going to be high if they are just starting out. Your right though, I cant afford anything from there.

Their prices have always been high & the quality of livestock was low. Hopefully the new owner will turn that around.

I am sure the rent & taxes are real high in that center.

Shepherd & 59 fwy. They just got some more insane color zoa's and nice Bali aquacultured sps. Zoa's look great. Lots of red, pink, yellow, orange, and blue colony for only $29. Sps start from $45. Nice tricolor and blue tip stags!
