One of these has been sitting in my BRS cart for a few weeks but I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet. Good to know it really works!! Curious, from where did you buy the brine shrimp eggs?

I bought it as a package deal from brine shrimp direct which included the eggs and spirulina powder for enrichment.

These are the eggs that were included:

I've had one in my cart for weeks also.

I think they said you can only get "babies" out of it, and if you want to grow them to adults you need an air stone and some of those other items. Which makes sense but the addition effort required has held me off.

Indeed. All I need is the BBS to feed small clowns, so it works perfectly for me.

I've been using the 'Brine Shrimp Hatchery Dish' from Brine Shrimp Direct Inc for almost 2 months now. It works great.

I just add tank water to the fill-line and I have been using about 2/3 scoop of BRS brine shrimp eggs and in ~24 hours I can start harvesting. Each batch provides enough for daily feedings for my pipefish for around 5 consecutive days. I take the brine shrimp directly from the dish. Also, I have tried adding a little phytoplankton, and a pinch of spirulina powder (or a pinch of soy bean flour) around day 3 attempting to 'gut load' the little 'sea monkeys.' Seems to work fine.

Just my $0.02

Happy reefing,
RobbyeD

I got one, makes it really easy. I can't keep them alive any longer than a few days in my grow out tank though.
Is it a grow out tank specifically for brine shrimp?

You may be able to learn from my failure.
I absent-mindedly dumped baby brine shrimp into my clownfish larvae tank when they were two days old. They were all dead by the next day.
However, the baby brine shrimp have grown up nicely either on rotifers or RG complete that is in the tank.

Switch out the sponge filter for simple a AirStone, feed them RG complete and you should have some success.
If you try it, please let us know how it goes.
If I come up with another tank I'll definitely give it a shot. My 5g is already getting used for something else.

Here's some of the clownfish larvae-killing brine shrimp. 10 days old at this point.
