What's the word on BTAs these days? It seems to me that their survival rate is improving. Am I wrong? Are there certain species or colors that seem to have better survival rates?

I would like to attempt housing one one day...not anytime soon, as I realize they need an established tank.

hehe, "one day" in the reefing world means next week when you impulse buy one at the LFS ~_^

I don't think color is turning out to be relevant in consideration to longevity in a captive system. I'm keeping one successfully in a 29 gallon, fwiw.

not only is their survival rate improved, some individuals are lucky enough to have them reproduce frequently. i wish i were one of them, but no... many people (read: me) buy them inflated, take them home, then are a little miffed that they look stringy. either way, mine is healthy and my clown loves it.

as for an established tank, that pretty much goes for any anemone if i'm not mistaken.
