Anyone seen any media locally for sale [ARM Korralith] ?

What are you using? Not real keen on some of the phosphate numbers I've seen with some.... Personal Experiences are Welcome.

Thanks for Your Help,

Kris

Setting Up my monster Koralline reactor this weekend! Wish me luck.....

what about just using crushed coral or crushed aragonite? I don't know a whole lot about calcium reactors but from what i understand ARM or corralith is just crushed coral/aragonite correct?

I am interested in this also as I will try to get a calcium reactor eventually.

Thats absolutely correct, many use crushed coral as media. The thing to be concerned with using some media's is during its dissolution all its components will be released into the water. This will include some inerts and impurities you may not want to retain, like phosphate.
Some of the media's sold have low phosphate and impurity numbers. The numbers have been substantiated by hobbyist testing as well.

Having said that I am leaning toward Crushed coral right now. I think Randy Holmes Farley did an article on this that I'm looking for right now.

yeah that is what i thought and I didn't ever notice if any of the stores carried the ARM media or korralith. I know when i set mine up I am probably going to lean towards the crushed coral as well. You may have to change it more often to prevent some of the impurities from entering the tank but I bet it will be cheaper than the ARM or korallith in the long run.
