Im wondering who has seen captive bred fish at any lfs? I picked up some ora clowns at fjw a year ago, but i figure most clowns are tank raised. I don't recall seeing much else locally, even though the breeders seem to have plenty of options. I get that they cost more, so lfs are probably wary of stocking a $100 bred yellow tang next to a $40 wild caught tang, especially if foot traffic is down.
What have you seen? Where?
Fwiw, a few fish on my eventual stocking list are available captive bred, like a mandarin or a watchman. Id like a purple tang again (sold one a while back when i moved), but the captive bred premium on those is a bit much for me.

TAP usually has a pretty good selection of clowns. I’ve seen a lot of different designer colors there, gotten a frostbite, snowflake, and of course a Picasso from them. Not overly expensive either I think the most I paid for one was $40. I haven’t seen captive bred anything else though, I doubt the mandarins I saw there a while back were captive because they were gigantic
