What are the pros and cons of this macroalgae? - Caulpera prolifera?

Is is a good macroalgae? I was planning on getting a red gracilaria and chaetomorpha with the above macro. Thanks in advance

caulpera is known for going sexual and dumping the nutrients back into the tank. I was using caulerpa and chaeto but the caulerpa will out compete the chaeto for nutrients. My opion is go with chaeto. doesnt go sexual and i dont have to keep the lights on 24/7

how about adding gracillaria in with the chaeto? Nutrient export and fishfood all in one. I guess the part you feed the fish isn't really exported -- just recycled. How full do you let the fuge get before you harvest some of the macro? Other than giving it away does it have any other use once harvested? Will any fish eat chaeto? Whats the best way to get the pods back in the fuge before you dispose of the macro (assuming you are pitching it)?

caulerpa prolifera grows quickly, looks nice, and it seems to go sexual less than other caulerpas. I think caulerpa prolifera is a great macro-algae, and i think if you keep it from crowding with itself and other macro-algaes and prune it regularly, you should be able to keep it from going sexual
