My kids noticed this coral a few minutes ago doing something it has never done before...extending 3+ inch sweepers. Try to ignore the hair algae you see in the pics. :)

Sherri, that's a brown and green candy cane, isn't it?

I've seen sweepers on mine too, but not that long. Yikes!

Wow, those are loooonng sweepers. Does it do that all the time, or just around feeding time? Is there another coral close to it?

I wonder if some GAC would remove whatever is stimulating the coral to do that - would be interesting to try it.
