I see that these MH E-ballasts are coming out of China. Does anyone have any experience with them? Has anyone tested them yet? I'd love to ditch my old heavy, hot, and inefficient mag ballasts but don't want to break the bank.

They have the full line in 110v, not just the 250w model.

The biggest problem I can see is if it's not reliable, good luck getting customer support! But the price is really good $75 for a 400w HQI w/ $30 for shipping.

Cheers

James, I'd be a little wary ordering those. Check out ballastwise.com they have good prices on "DIY" electronic ballasts (you just have to wire them to a powercord) I've used them with no issues; plus they are very small. Other than that, I'd say the best place would be to find something on here.

Thanks Chris,

That would be $359 to my door vs $265 for the BoSheng ballasts - not a big difference.

I already have magnetic ballasts and they are doing fine but I'd like to cut the power bill if it's cost effective.

Cheers

That's a pretty good price too - but I don't need a lamp and fixture either. I'll keep my eye out though - that's a good suggestion.
