so i get home last night and noticed that my tank is a little cloudy. thought that it might be from the water level being low since this genius forget to add water to the ATO. then noticed, nope...not at all. all params seemed to be cool without testing the alk and cal....then noticed that my clam was blasting out this white stuff. which was clouding the tank. the fish were eating it and my skimmer was skimming it. now noticed this AM that the clam is closed up.

was it spawning? is it sick....WTF!?!? i have had this thing for a while and i dont want to loose it.

yeah i was doing some on-line research and thank god i dont hae another clam as it would trigger the other to do the same. apparently it is considered a huge bio-load on your system. water change time. the only thing that worries me is that this is normally dont when its stressed from what i read. so next fun fact, what stressed it out. funny but non-topic related, i remember a line from 'wolf of wallstreet' where leo was told what to do every morning when stressed out. great.

i will see what the clam looks like when i get home. it was all closed up this morning. no lights but its usually all mantled out. wierd!

Yeah, check out lesd's video. When his does it, that's a bioload. Some of my derasas are starting to get pretty decent sized and I don't look forward to the clean up when that happens.
