I started my first salt water tank. Went through the whole cycle, made sure all my levels were good, and I got a clown fish and an anemone. The anemone is eating just fine. I use a child medicine syringe to put the brine right into his tentacles. I use the same syringe to put the brine near the clown so he can eat. He acts as if they taste bad, sucking them in and just spitting them out. I have a 55 gal tank, the clown is a little guy about an inch long & the anemone is well....... His foot is about the size of a half dollar coin. Should I be worried?

Correct. Different days I use different foods. Change it up every couple of days. that way they don't get tired of one thing and they are getting nutrients from different sources like they would in the wild, that's my theory. Some people also make their own food consisting if different types of meats their inhabitants would eat. And feed that mixture everyday.

Yea try different foods....... how big old is the clown. Could be going through a sex change.... new environment... etc... lots of factors. Just keep an eye out for any unusual behavior or external symptoms.

On a side note, I've had clowns for years that eat nothing but NLS Pellets and produce huge egg masses with 80-90% successful grow-out rate. And the babies in turn will eat pellets and flakes... the only live food is the first couple days of rots.
