Got me a tomato clown yesterday and put it in the sump along with my other smaller tomato.
The smaller one tilted over and started vibrating, and the larger one chased it around a till it went and hid behind some rubble.
Today I see the smaller one out and about with a couple nips on his tail fin. It tilts and vibrates every time the larger one gets close. Also saw him scoot around to back of the larger tomato and nip his tail a few times. The larger one does not seem to mind.
Also today the larger clown is not chasing the smaller one around. It does not seem to be interested in the smaller clown. All it wants to do is burnouts in the sand bed with it's tail.
I was wondering if this shows that the smaller one is a male? And if the larger is already sexed as female? I know it's only been a day since I've put them together.
They don't swim together but smaller one is definitely showing interest. Are there any other signs that the two have paired?
