I think I read a long time ago that clownfish will change sex to pair up. Am I dreaming or does it really happen?

Yes, clownfish are known to do this. Usually you want one small and one larger fish. The larger will be the female and the smaller the male.

I have a paired pair of ocellaris clowns. I purchased 3 of them a couple years ago when they were small at all the same size. One now is almost twice as large as the other 2. The pair most of the time swim together and at times seem to be looking for a place to lay their eggs around some rockwork. The problem though is that I also have a Tomato clown(mean SOB) that's hosted with a bubble tip that. I've considered removing the tomato clown but i just can't catch it.

Good luck!
