Wow what a difference CO2 scrubbing makes on tank pH. Put it online at about 3:10 this afternoon. Looking forward to seeing the difference it makes on a whole days light cycle.

I love running a co2 scrubber on my system. Ph nearly flat lines when the soda lime is still good in the reactor.

Good stuff but the media gets expensive-the media color changes very quick which means time to replace.

So BRS suggested putting a teaspoon of water in the bottom of the reactor. What’s the purpose of the water?

When I didnt need to dose 2 part much I ran a CO2 reactor to keep the ph up. However, since I am dosing over 50ml of soda ash per day and switched to a 24 doses my ph just does not get below 8. It is normally 8.15 at noon and then 8.04 at night. With the scrubber it was 8.33 at noon and 8.1 at night. I just dont see a big difference with it being slightly lower and dont have to change out media weekly now.
