on the industrial side, you can google an Airgas place and they will do it. Maybe even a welding store. they have areas for repairing and recertifying cylinders and some regulators.

They usually just swap the tank for a new one full of gas and charge you for the gas alone. At least that's what happened the last time I did my 10# and my 50#

the one i got from you, i went to get it filled/swapped and they did not have another bottle the same size as mine, so they just refilled it. can't remember if it needed to be re-certified or not, i did ask them, can't remember what his answer was though.
my suggestion is, just go to get it filled and see if they will swap it. they should check the date on the bottle.

I go to a welding place right down the street from me.

Weird, I don't know who you talked to but I used the Airgas in Deer Park for both of mine and they were both expired when I did it. It cost me like $14 for the 10#, I can't remember how much for the 50#.

Just Google ""Welding Supply" for your area and any of them should be able to do it for you.

Thx everyone. I took it to Big Tex welding shop. One of the staff was kind enough to swap it out. They have the best price in town. They charge $12 plus tax for a 20 lbs tank.
