Hey does anyone want to go down to galveston and do some collecting tonight or maybe tomorrow night?

What are you going to collect when your down there? I would like to go, and my be my friend SaintMark might go as well. Last time we went down there we didn't get what we where looking for.

also, not all the shrimp you collect will be peppermint shrimp. there are a ton of variations found in nature and you may end up with something that isn't safe for your tank. please don't bring any fish back with you unless you know exactly what it is. you'd be surprised at how many "small" fish end up over a foot or two in length.

if you do get something you don't want...either destroy it or find someone who wants it. do no release that animal back into the wild after it has been in your tank or in any water that came from your tank.

I'm looking for some peppermint shrimp and also some small snails that i could feed to the mantis shrimp..

just to tell all of you if your intrested ther is a jettie on the sea wall that if you go there at about 11/12 at night you can get sea anemones they come in purples greens blues yellows and treds ive never had any problems with them but if you want to get them walk allong the side of the jetties and bring a paint scraper along and carfully scrape them off.
