I thought queen conch didnt climb. I turned mine loose in the tank and they were not on the sand 5 min before they were over the rocks and up the sides. What gives?

I've heard the same, but mine climbs like crazy. I've even seen it climb on glass (once). I tried to take a photo but my camera batteries were dead!

It eats algae like crazy, and has successfully cleaned all hair algae that I had in my tank (slowly). That's right- i have zero hair algae in my tank now. The only downside is that it's gotten stuck in between some rocks a few times, and I've saved it. It sounds crazy, but it's almost like it has learned from these experiences and avoids hanging around the places that it was stuck before.

Another good point- I have a reef lobster, a slipper lobster, and a brittle star that have never attacked it to my knowledge.

Great reef addition, in my opinion. Cool little animal.

We had ours for a little while, it at first stayed on the sand, and I really was having a problem with algae on the rocks, so I would put it on them, so it soon learned where the majority of the food was and would climb up there all by its own. And it would climb to the very top of the glass on our 29 gal tank lots of times, espeically once the rocks started to have less food.

Its an eating machine that one.

yeah they said they are out and he wasnt sure if the owner would reorder them. The owner of that place sucks. He gets in good live stock sales it then wont reorder sometimes or in the case of the QC he would reorder them knowing some people want them then jack the price up
