Cool and Unusual Punishment….. I mean fish tanks

Over the years I am sure you all have seen some pretty unusual aquariums out there. There is the zero edge with the constant water falling over the sides. The living room coffee table is always a favorite. Here are some links to some pretty cool looking tanks. I just enjoy looking at them. Wondering how and the frequency of water changes and maintenance. How often do they have to clean the glass, how do they clean the glass…..

I know some people on here have some wild set ups too. Please post some more tanks and setups.

This has got me to thinking. A large room, like a ballroom, with a near continuous display around the outer walls. So like the dining room at the downtown aquarium except your in the middle. Now that would be fancy to see.

I'll have to find a picture. I gutted a tv back in 1986 & put a saltwater aquarium in it when I was in college at SFA.

It was one of those wood cabinet we had in the old days!

No remote control!

When I was a little kid, my dad had a remote control for our wood cabinet Zenith TV.

That cellar fish tank is awesome. Well I guess it is more of a cellar fish pool. Thanks Felix.

I can't wait to see that TV fish tank Andy. I bet that was a real conversation piece.

she only feeds 2-3 times per week.
plus they are systems designed (diy) to take care of the feeding.
the water changes to keep things in check is the part that will really burn a hole in your wallet. plus the cost of those corals.

So I like Mario. And I am setting up a 29 gallon QT tank soon. I have seen people use PVC to give fish hiding places in QT tanks and we have a huge bin of legos.... sooooooo are legos safe for aquariums? <-- stupid question, I know. But the different tanks are neat.

Legos are reef safe, funny enough. I recommend giving the legos a tap water scrub and then let them dry completely before using. You can even use gel super glue/ or coral glue to keep them in place.

Good luck!

Awesome!! Thanks!! We have a [random] giant tub of legos that my husband's parents kept forever then handed them off to us when we bought our first house (he's an only child). I can finally put some of them to use.

I have used them to prop rocks and plumbing in place before too lmao, they work AWESOME and with a bit of superglue you can make just about anything your creativity allows for ;)
