Ok, so my tank has been up and runnig about 3 months now. It survived the attack of the killer algae, and everything else is doing well. Now that the tank is (hopefully) broken in, is there anything I can do to get my corals to start reproducing and growing? I have several nice mushrooms (both ricordia and the actinodiscus types) and would really like to get them to reproduce so I can place them in another tank I am setting up. I also have a candy cane, hammer, star polyp, a brain that the store called a "modern coral" (I have no idea of the scientific name), and a new piece of fire montipora (m. nodosa) and a red-pinkish Montipora Capricornis.
My lighting is more than adequate, I have an aquaC remora skimmer, powerheads, etc..., and make regular water changes to make sure all of those nasty chemicals stay in check.
I dose Ca, Mn, Sr, Mo, Fe, I2, vitamins, as well as "marine snow" weekly.
If anyone has any tips or advice for a new comer, please let me know.
