Was fully extending real nice until last week. Got a whole repertoire of food to feed in my fridge and under the stand to no avail. Tried everything under the sun includes oyster egg, gonipower, roid, chilli, on top of my home made concoction short of a nuclear waste. :) just picked up a bottle of phytofeast so we'll see how it wants to play.

My red goni still going strong though. Chime in folks. I can sure use some help right about now. TIA!

From what I understand the green are the hardest to keep. I have had mine for about a year and a half now and it has never fully extended like I have seen others. It only extends about 2" from the base. When the lights first come on it will extend a few sweepers about 4" but not for long. Julian Sprung was involved in a study about the effects of iron and Goniapora. He had positive results while dosing it. I tried it for about a month but couldn't see any change other than a little more algae. It may work for you though?

A year and a half is an eternity for the green ones. What do you feed yours?

Twice a week I direct feed it when I feed my SPS. I turn off all pumps and blow a little food onto it. I made a concoction of liquified oyster, shrimp, clam, seaweed, garlic power, and vitamins. Yes, I am shocked he has stayed healthy in my tank. I have had a couple bad spells including hair algae and he has been unaffected.
