Hey guys need some help , I have a couple of rocks that continuously get this red I think cyano with air bubbles , I manually remove it every week when I do WC are as much as I can vacuum off the rocks , it is not on my substrate just a few of the rocks , the Rock the birds nest is setting on is the worst , it only appears after T5's come on not there when LED's are on. I dose .09 ml of Vodaka and Vinegar daily , add Biodigest every two weeks , 15 ml daily two part.
parameters are as follows
No3 around 6
Po4 .04
Alk. 7.7
Ca. 430
Mg. 1480
Ph 8.3
temp. 79 to 80.5 during the day
SG 1.025
it vacuums off pretty easily and I can blow it off with turkey baster very easy , just can't seem to get rid of it. Thanks

Yep that is cyano. I had it for years and fought to control it. Like you I removed as much as I could each water change. It would always come back. I'm now using Vibrant and it seems to have finally cured my tank of that nasty stuff.

Yep, that is cyano. Ususally caused by excess nutrient in your tank. Try feeding less and less light period?

Thanks Guys , my nutrients seem pretty good No3 greater than 5 but less than 10 Po4 stays around .04 to .05 I only feed fish once a day and corals every three days. I was thinking about the vibrant but with Carbon dosing and the Biodigest kind of afraid to add more bacteria.

I'm having a small break out of Cyano too... nothing too serious yet, but I would like to get on top of it now. Will BIodigest eliminate the Cyano in my tank? Like Wingnut says, its easy to remove... but keeps coming back. I would like to get rid of it completely.

My Cyano appeared once my BioReactor kicked in and started actually working.
