Its only growing on the baffles. But is getting n the cheato too. Should i kill the lights for a few days or is this normal? None in the display tank or on the sand in the fuge. Lights are on a 14 hour timer

Pretty common as this is a low flow area that accumulates detritus. Better there than in the display! :) Best thing you can do is during water changes, drain and clean your sump removing all detritus and rinse your cheato in a bucket of tank water to manually remove as much as possible. Eventually with persistence you can choke out the cyano as it will not have enough food sources to grow and the cheato will win the battle. My refugium always has a good sized clump of cyano in the dead spot that has no flow.
