Wow, your building the exact setup I am planning. The stand is absolutely beautiful. I am tagging along for this setup cause I may "borrow" a few of your ideas.

:blob7: I HAVE A TANK!!! :blob7:

Overflow should go in soon. Meanwhile I can get started on some the plumbing while the silicone in the tank continues to cure.

We dropped it into the stand, and it's hard to tell in pic #2, but it JUST fits! You can't even get a finger nail in there!
We were all like, "holy $!&#!!!" 8O :angel12: :clap1:
BTW, this sucker was HEAVY. 4 of us moved it in. It's about 240lbs or so. And build like a..... tank. :p

Hey Kyle, i forgot... we needed to measure for the acrylic strips for the stand. Oops.

That would be the pink stuff under the light fixture in the pic above. The green tint from the base glass neutralized the color. ;)

Do you have a shot from the top where the glass meet? Sweet setup!

That is a very nice tank/stand. And a nice pad too. Following this thread.

Yeah, here ya go.
Note the nice beveled edges.
Glass is still smudgy though, haven't cleaned it yet.

Wow, love those beveled edges! I can see that you would want somthing besides a regular tank. Looks VERY nice, a Lexus or Mercedes of aquariums! :D

That's some precision craftsmanship from your tank stand builder, whoever that may be :) and your tank builder! Sorry OJ, it fits like a glove!

Ditto.

Looks like a pretty sweet ranch home...at least from the inside.

I think it's great when people take into account the whole room/house when setting up and designing a tank. And, keeping visible hardware & plumbing to a minimum makes it look even better (which it looks like you're doing a good job of). Nothing's worse than a bad-********* reef with a bunch of distracting pipes and hoses and wires, etc.

I'm definitely going to follow this build, keep up the nice work!

More pictures!

Maybe tomorrow! I got the light fixture hung today. Took me all afternoon, but it looks great. Just need to take some pics. Also went shopping for some plumbing supplies. And figured out how to dismantle a Vortech wireless driver so I can feed the power line down my dry pipe. :)

Thanks, B.
I decided to put the tank on a 45 degree angle in the room with the corner overflow in the "back". So it seemed to make the most sense to hang the light horizontal with the overflow so one corner of the light was not over the overflow, know what i mean?
