You have to remove all the silicone with a blade and clean the glass with acetone. After clean the glasses now you can apply the new silicone. I re sealed my tank whit black silicone, I still have two silicone tube with me if you are interesting.

i was thinking i had to remove the silicone from in between the glass. i looked at a couple utube videos and it seams easy enough. thanks for offering the silicone but im going to stay with the clear kind. how big is your tank and has it stayed leak free? thanks

i did the search and found the thread but the more i think about it i don't want to do this and it not go right and have to do it all over again. I have wood floors so i rather pay someone or a company to do it and be done with it.
