Destin Florida Lfs recommend (1 Viewer)

I'm taking a trip to Destin Florida this weekend, does one here know a good store close by to visit? I dont bring home shot glass or key chains souvenirs hahah but do I a piece of coral from places I vist so every time I look into my tan, I can see my souvenir instead of crap that end up in the trash or lost in 3 days....thanks ahead

not sure about LFS, but sure is beautiful there and that pier fishing is awesome.

It has been a few years since I went to Destin. We used to go every summer. I never could find a los in Destin. There was a good one across the bridge in fort Walton. Can't remember the name but I was actually attached to a car repair shop. There are also a couple in Pensacola.

I went last year to Destin and used a app on Google that would find me the LFS via GPS, but never got to them.
If you're driving ,then check out Pensacola, Petland had some real nice fish and corals, but I ended up buying some Candy Canes from Water Worlds Tropical Fish.

I got a nice bubble coral one year at water world in Pensacola. If I can remember right the place in fort walton was called something retroviral. They had some nice chalice corals a few years ago

I stopped at a couple of places along the way driving back home when we went 3 years ago, but nothing spectacular. I didn't even think about it when we went two weeks ago because we were in a hurry. I wanted to stop at Progressive Marine in Mobile, but they were not open the day we drove home. Their website looks like they have some neat stuff. I did stop at B&B Pet Stop in Mobile, and they had some nice stuff, but nothing I couldn't get at home cheaper.

I did find a few locations on here:

find a saltwater fish store, tropical fish store, freshwater fish store aquarium supplies

but many of the places are outdated.

I was raised in pensacola, and their beach pier was awesome.. always caught something. biggest fish was a 40" king from a frozen cigar minnow floating on top. Right by destin you have panama city pier, caught lots of whiting, spanish mac, kings, and one time a small black fin tuna.

The place in Alabama is like a Petco, with a fish section about 3-4 times as big as the B&B on 1960!
