Diatomaceous Earth (1 Viewer)

Now you all know I don't know much and don't even know exactly why you guys use diatomaceous earth (I use it to kill bugs without having chemicals around my pets and family don't breath the stuff but other than that it is considered safe.) I probably should google that!

But you do know you can buy it pretty cheap at Ace Hardware that is food grade. (I am in a long habit of pinching pennies) Of course different Ace Hardwares carry different stuff. It is in their chemical isle, by sulfur and such at least at the one off Jones near 1960.

Just wanted to let you guys know encase it helps anyone. Heck y'all might know of somewhere cheaper but I nearly died when someone said they spent 50 bucks on a bag.

Gotta go long day ahead. You know the kind where you rush and then wait forever....

I buy the green and white food grade bag on amazon.

Definetely works for flea's but takes a while to completely kill them all. Has to be put down with health amounts.

Flea's are like ICH. Lifecycle is very stubborn.

One thing I wanna warn about. It made some crazy crap slime stuff pop up in my sump. Just know it has that potential to get airborne and make it in the tank. I had to quit using it in the livingroom.

The one on amazon I've ate. No issues. Supposed to kill any human worms. Can feed it to your dogs too!

Agreed a 25# box of D.E. at Leslie's is only about $25.00. My wife paid nearly that for an 5# bag of "Natural insecticide D.E." from the store. I about flipped when I saw the contents of this little bag was just D.E.
