what is the difference between the members B/S/T forum and the non-member B/S/T? i thought paid members could post in the member one and non-paid members could post in the other one. I have a fish that I'd like to sell rather than just flush him and i get too much spam doing it on CL. he eats zoas so I'd rather lose a $60 fish than keep him in the tank.

In truth it was meant just as stated by T.R.W. a chance for members to offer up items to just members but it has apparently been very confusing and we will adjust it when we build out the new site.

I may just move it down with the rest of the BST with a better description for the near future.

Members have access to both. Guests have access to view the non-member B/S/T and make purchases, capitalizing on the great deals offered.

Unfortunately, at this time, we are not set up to allow guests to sell items. This may change in the near future, although it will not help you currently.

You can't sell stuff here anymore unless you are a paid member.

And, prepare yourself for some rude comments from some of the current members.

Hopefully, we have overcome and conquered. So far, so good.

I have no opinion on the B/S/T but why would you flush it. If nothing else, take it back to the store where you bought it from. It has the right to live just like you and I...

that is what the member forum is for I thought. i guess the way it is now it just seperates the potential buyers. I know I'd post in both if i wanted exposure and was a paid member. If i have to be paid to post in one, then i have the ability to post in both

Many members prefer to give other paid members first dibs for a couple days prior to opening it up to the guests. Just one of those "perks."

Trust me, I've been through the babies and aquarium times. If you're needing to get rid of something, either take it to a sponsor store or ask a member to be a go-between and post it for you.

Also, isn't the Free Stuff forum available to everyone? Seems like I remember that being changed several months ago. It is just the sell for a profit forum that is restricted to paying members. So before you just throw something away, post it up on the Free Stuff forum and someone on the board will take it off your hands.

TRB - FYI These comments are just for clarification so nobody gets the wrong idea 8)

Nothing sells for profit in this Hobby; not if your keeping a tank for enjoyment. At the most it helps with maintenance costs :D

The market is definitely not meant for anybody to make a profit and those working to make a profit need to become sponsors.

That said... Yes the free stuff forum is open to all.

Happy Pre-4th weekend,

Sorry, I should have said sell for an asking price then, I know there is no real "profit" for the hobbyists. I really don't sell a lot of stuff on here, most of the extra stuff I have, I just give away when someone needs it. I've bought a few things for real cheap or free, that are worth much more, but I can't bring myself to make more than I paid from something like that.
