So, I have been using exclusively Ecotech MP's for about two years now, all of them. I initially bought the Maxspect XF350's for my 220g build but ended up selling them before I ever used them as the (4) MP60's are plenty. I decided about a year ago though to explore the Gyre technology in my custom 45g. I started with the small Jebao SCP-70m in addition to two MP40's to get more flow in between two large structures. It has held up very well, it's easy to disassemble and clean and has been running flawless. Though it has an app I never used it.
Recently, I decided to try the new AI Orbit 2 Cross-flow pump in my 20g cryptic refugium to replace two MP10's. Mainly because it works with Mobius and has very similar wave modes, etc. It is super quiet and was very easy to install and implement. It has a small external controller I believe like the Nero pumps as well if you didn't want to use an app. I have not cleaned it yet but, I have disassembled it out of curiosity. These are made by Maxspect or made from Maxspect's specs if I'm not mistaken.
Coincidentally, I decided to try out (2) AI Orbit 4's in place of two of my MP60's as they should be here today actually. I will get them installed soon and update this thread periodically on the performance, reliability, maintenance, etc.
