Bought a Golden Angelfish on impulse during TnT anniversary sale. I knew dwarf angel is a hit and and miss when it comes to reef aquarium. Well, this one is starting to nip at my sps. I kept a flame angel previously and it did the same but eventually grew out of it. This one seems more aggressive. My question is, this nipping at the sps, how long before any damage will be sustained to the sps? I am noticing polyps are not showing up during the light cycle. Thoughts and advices are welcome..

buggman, told a nice trick to get sps nipping fish to behave, he said use fake corals in your system and when they nip them they will hate the taste, after a while they will stop. pm him for more details.

In reference to the fake corals suggested by buggman, and offer him something more appealing than your corals. It could be any number of things, so you're going to have to hit this with a ton of bricks. Hit the seafood store and buy a number of different things to try. You're going to have to keep him stuffed for at least a few weeks until he weans off. Lastly, if the battering that the corals are taking isn't too severe, you may simply wish to live with it. I'm not sure how mature your system is, or how many good sized colonies you have to absorb the random nips.
