It has been a long time since I bought any corals... I know some corals cannot be dipped.. Is Acans one of them or can they be dipped to make sure no unwanted pest are on them??
If they can be dipped what is the dip every one is now using these days?

I believe those can be dipped. I’m not sure what I’d dip an acan in though. I know I use Beyer for sps, but not sure for lps. I’d probably be more likely to use an iodine dip than anything, just to help knock out vibrio.

some people are using hydrogen peroxide for acans. seems to be effective for pest and algae. I think general consensus is coralrx, revive, or seachem reef dip.

I've had luck dipping acans and zoas in hydrogen peroxide. ymmv

I use CoralRX to dip everything including Acans (which are classified as micromussa now), and it has been good. I sometimes use a small paintbrush on LPS exterior skeleton and frag plugs after the dip and rinse.

Just getting rid of the frag plug it came in on will eliminate the majority of any potential pests.
