I did have a dream about my stupid sump leaking last night by the way....

It was hard for me to even go to sleep last night even though I was exhausted due to being up for so long. I kept hearing the floors pop and crack and of course all I could think of was that the tank was going to come crashing down.

We just refinished the floors a year and a half ago. If I end up having to do it again the wife is going to have me sleeping on the couch. The bad thing is, cherry is one of the few woods that turns darker with exposure to UV. With the entire interior of our house being glass, all of the floors are exposed to large amounts of sunlight. Unfortunately I can't just do a piece of the floors without it being a totally different color. Also, our house is comprised of large areas with no doors so there is no way to effectively stop (like at a door) because there is no where to stop so I would end up having to refinish half the house again. Fingers crossed that everything is stopped moving and will go back with a little time.

Those detectors look great... if you are home. ;) Would have definitely helped jason in this case.
I still plan on getting a leak detector for my profilux so the whole system will automatically shut down and notify me if it detects a leak.
The problem is it ends up being one of those things you always "plan" to do.

I bookmarked the alarms, goign to get a couple sets of those for the water heaters, sinks and aquariums. Thats a great idea even with tile floors.

Man I hope your floors are OK bro and Tif lets you off the hook. Maybe I can have my wife come over and tell her what it's like being married to me, that should get you back in her good graces quick :)

Oh man Jason, not good about the Radions. Saltwater wrecks absolute havoc on electronics very quickly. This may sound crazy but your best bet to saving them would have been too drop them in a bucket of fresh water to get the salt out and then hit with a hair dryer/compressed air. I've been designing controls for offshore rigs for 20+ years and have seen/heard some crazy stories about saving electronics from saltwater.

This is also another option that I have used for systems that endure harsher environments. This will serve to drive out moisture (like WD40 Would but is non-conductive) provide a protective layer and stave off the corrosion that will soon follow (like WD40 would but is non-conductive) and can be bought at Fry's.

Here's what the guts of the Radion power source looks like. Not something you really want to see.

There is good news though - once we took them apart (thanks Ben!) we found that all of the fuses were blown. Fingers crossed that upon replacing these fuses that we are back up and running. What's weird is that we found that no water had actually reached the boards; it only touched the plate below them.

I know I've said "thank you" a lot to you guys/gals for all of the support, emails, PMs and phone calls but i really am just shocked at the outpouring of help. I wont name names of who did these things below but check out what was done for me:

I was allowed in someones house while he was away to get a tank to borrow as a sump
I was delivered box fans and 25 gallons of SW, helped me clean up and made calls to floor pros for advice on clean-up
An individual let me borrow a Radion power supply
A store let me borrow a Radion power supply
And a crazy amount of you guys contacted me and offered help

I really cant thanks you guys enough for the help, product and support!

THIS is what this club is all about! Glad things are looking up for you man. Thank god it was only the fuses. If you didn't see any water or salt inside the electronics I'm going to be the fuses will do the trick. :woot:

That's some great stuff Ray. I forgot all about it. I need to pick up a can or two and keep it on hand. I haven't had any in years.

Floors are looking ok. Little wavy but i think they will go back to their shape. Tank is fine, wife is almost happy again.

Me, not so much; I have a fever of 104. This flu is a BEAST. Started at 4 last night with the chills/aches and fever has climbed all morning. I will never again NOT get the flu shot. This is crazy...

Sorry to hear that Ben! Hope you get to feeling better soon. I called my Dr. on the emergency line yesterday and got prescribed tamiflu. I had it in me within 16 hours or symptoms and today I am back down to 99 :high5: Still weak and have a headache but MUCH better than yesterday. I was messed up when my fever was peaking. :turboink:
