Looking for members who are versed in this subject to PM me if you are willing to help with this workshop.

Professional experience not required.

If you are a sponsor, DIY'er or have a technical/practical background that would be great!

Remember, this is a members club, help share you knowledge and experience with other members so that others may also benefit from your knowledge.

I will bring a few LEDs for the workshop if needed.

AI sols, and possibly a home made fixture.

I can do MHs, I have a set of 400s in the garage that are going on the new tank and wont be hooked up till June ish. I have VHOs and T5s, but only actinic bulbs. that are also not currently on a tank. Also if anyone has an extra 250W MH ballast lying around I have a few different extra bulbs laying around. 10ks, 12ks, 20ks, and several different manufacturers such as XM, Ushio, Reeflux and Radium.

Who has that plasma light? It would be awesome to check it out in person again.

I can bring my par meter and we can do head to head comparisons.

Now that I think of it, I have a (4) wire or (2) pair set end caps wire to a ballast for VHO T12 lighting if any one has extra bulbs laying around. If it all still works, I wouldnt mind getting rid of it either for a smal nominal price.

I have wired up a few different homemade LED arrays that I could talk about. I can also give an idea of what NOT to do, as I have also shorted out (not technically shorted out, but that's how it ended up) an LED array. I have used cree 3watt XP-E and XP-G as well as XM-L and I just ordered some 3up LEDs that have 3 emitters on one star. I can explain how they are wired, and perhaps do a few solders. If I am available then, I'll plan on having some stuff loose (not installed in my system.)

This will likely be a ADG, as for times I will need to get an idea from you guys what you think will work. I think it's great that some other members are being active and stepping up to be active with these workshops. We usually (try) plan things for a 10AM-2PM thing so that the whole Saturday isn't shot, so I guess a little feedback would be great regarding that. In order for everything to be neat and ordered I will schedule people in the Volunteer Program so that your time is accounted and also so that everyone has enough time to present their 'show-n'tell'. If anyone has special needs (table, projector, extension cords, etc.) please let me know also so that we can get everything in place!

Ray, do you think that Mike would have a 24" and possibly a 30" tall tank that we could use to measure par values at different levels in the tank? Or is there a member out there that has a tank similar size. I think that it would be a good comparison to actual measure the par values of the different lighting that will be discussed. If not no biggie. But I know that we will need extension cords.
