so i am at a toss up of replacing my stunner strips with (2) T-5 lights. I am already running (2) 250w 20k Radiums for a 90g tank. Not sure if i need them or not? Most will say no, but thoughts from those who say yes?

Stupid question, lol.

Well, you won't need em. BUT, you will see a big difference if you supplement additional Fiji Purple or True Actinics!!!
Not just from a appearance, as well from the Color the Coral develops.

A have a few Deepwater SPS they are like Chameleons, and take the color of the T5 there are under.
On the long run, the MH are great for growth, but T5 supplements highly recommended for the final kick.
All the good SPS farmer are using mix of mostly T5 and MH for additional PAR.

I have upgraded to 4 x 250MH pendants and wait now for actinics and ballasts on a 72" tank.

well, i have seen the big push to keep the T5's going. so i guess the next fun question is where to get them from (DIY kits). You can hardly find a store that has them. I have a set up for the T12 but find it harder to find these bulbs. then i dont have alot of room. My tank is only 18 inches deep. So i have the huge maxlite retrofit kits, so they take over the majority of the space. I was thinking of placing one 48-in bulb on one side and another 48-in bulb on the opposite side, so that the MH would shine in the middle. my only question would be, would the heat dispensation from the MH do something to the T5 bulbs underneath?
