Hey aggie4231, if this poll has anything to do with the post that monica made earlier i think that it would be more informative if you asked members to summit votes according to how manytimes or how often they purchase from the sponsors. i just checked the votes and it is currently 85% yes. but from what three of the sponsors replies on monica's post that wouldn't or doesn't seem to be the case.

also, the way that your question is asked it would seem that if someone purchased something just once even in lets say two or three years that they would answer yes to the question.

just a thought

online sponsor - no, because i'd like to stare at the coral for 10 minutes and from 10 angles first.

local stores - most are either too far or too expensive. most local stores will give discount anyway to a member or non member. its either they dont make as much from you or not make any at all.

For most dry goods/supplies/equipment I try to purchase from sponsors/supporters. Livestock....I'm like i_am_poor, I am an impulse buyer.

I would buy from where ever I can get the best deals.
which is usually the fish stores.
buy the time you add up shiping and the hassle of having to be there to get the shipment it comes out to the same price, so I get from the store where I can buy it then.

I try to get what I am looking for from members. Sorry, but our local sponsers are either too far, to expensive, or not enough sought after stock. Seriously, why would a LFS order green stripped mushrooms or xenia? Get some acan and rics man....that would make a customer out of me. AND STOP PUTTING THE BEST STUFF IN YOUR DISPLAY TANKS AND PUTTING "NOT FOR SALE". I want some of those blastos too!

Online sponsers....shipping plus chance of livestock dying, unless it is a group order.

I support MARSH sponsers, but its the relationships that are formed which I find more important. I would sooner buy from someone I know. that Even if it costs me a few more bucks.

The top 4 places I spent money last year were the following

AddictiveAquatics - Jamie is a nice guy, great family and fun to talk with. He constantly gives me a hard time!!! He has competitive prices and good service.

SapphireAquatics - Kyle makes great quality stuff, cutting edge nano skimmers, I bought nano skimmer, hob fuge, custom fuge and custom large skimmer. Kyle is always avaliable and really supports his product.

AquariumSpeciality- Scott carries the high end and is willing to call and discuss stuff on the phone even though he is not local. Scott has in stock stuff the others can only hope to drop ship.

Buckeye - Russ is the know it man of RO/DI great customer service and always willing to help.

As far as corals, normally city pets, TnT, and Fish gallery.

I wish there were more products I could get to support ADG cause they are also great guys!
