Hello.

I have been told to buy a certain book about propagation. However I don't want to buy a book to frag this.

Can anyone tell me how exactly to do it? Has anyone ever done it?

Thanks!

Yea, just drop it from a six step ladder onto a tile floor, it breaks in half the there you go. HeHe, well ok, so my method is a little simplistic, but basically you have to just break it whereever. It is harder to break off a small piece because it may not stay together, but if you just want to break it in half, take a dremel tool with a cutting edge and goggles and go for it.
good luck

wet saw - no propagationist should be without one. get the cheap one with a 6" diamond blade and a plastic reservoir. Fill the reservori with seawater and just rip the coral into pieces. Avoid the 4" blade models as they don't project high enough to work with larger and massive species.

Or you can just borrow your wife's jewlery cutting blades.
