This is the 2nd time in 4 months I have checked the tank and my alk was down to 7.3 from 8.3. I went to check the apex and the screen refreshed and the ALK side of the DOS was missing. Missing!?! It is all one unit. Last time this happened I had to get Neptune on the phone and I watched them delete the DOS and reattach it. I lost all my programming but at least it was working. I pushed the button the front and the alk side still worked but the Calcium side did not work! So basically the DOS was putting NOTHING in the tank. And that was after I replaced the calcium head. I tried unplugging and resetting but nothing seemed to fix it. Time for a drastic measure, DOS you are fired!

So got my 4 head jabeo doser hooked up and set the timers. Yeah it is more of a pain to program but so far it hasn't quit or erased my programming for no reason!

Manually dosed some alk to get back about halfway and will manually dose tomorrow to get back to where it should be.

If anyone wants to buy a tempermental DOS with 1 new head I will make you a killer deal!

That's insane. It could crash your tank. I'd email Neptune and find out what is happening before it happens again.
No, I am never hooking that DOS up to my tank again! Jabeo is doing its job for a quarter of the price for now. Checked and holding steady at 8.3 as it should be.
I'm planning on a calcium reactor soon.

You’d be a fool not to buy the one that @sneezebeetle has for sale. It’s the same design that I use (minus a different regulator), and once you get it set up, it’s as simple as turning one knob to make an adjustment.
