Has anyone used Dr. Tim's Refresh before?
I just bought some and it is a muddy color. Is that the right color for it are is it supposed to be clear color?

Yes that is the correct color. I forget which one it is, but check the bottle. One of their products (refresh or waste away) makes snails unhappy if you use to much.

I think it is both of them. Just using what is recommended for my tank size.

@reefaholic: Do you mind providing a little detail about what specifically it does (What it is for)?

Yeah, it was crazy the first time I used it. I dosed and later heard some weird noise coming from my tank. You know how our ears get very tuned in on the specific sounds our systems make. Mine are very fine tuned after multiple floods. Lol. I walked up to the tank and noticed my overflows were louder. Return line was stronger and spitting out water much harder into the front glass. I was thinking...wow...this stuff really works well.

I try to under dose his products until I know there’s no ill effects. I’m using Eco-Balance right now and haven’t noticed a big difference. I thought it might clear up some brown crap on my sand bed. Maybe I’ll try the waste away and see if that gets it.

I am not at home right now but my husband says the tank is looking petty good.. started the two week steps with Refresh for the first week and waste away next week.

Did the Refresh help with the organic on the sand-bed and rocks? Maybe I'll try it. I think this might be a better choice. Did any of your SPS act weird?

Thanks. I may try the waste-away. I can't use the Re-Fresh as it says it is harmful to shrimp and invertebrates.

There are two Re-Fresh. One that says saltwater and the other days reef which is the one I got. Bought mine at Chewy.com alot cheaper then the other online suppliers.
